A tostada is a corn tortilla that has been fried to a perfect crunchiness, you can eat it just as is, or top it with different dishes and garnishes.

Nowadays, you can buy tostadas in most traditional grocery stores, if not, go to a Latin store where you will be able to find them.

Ingredients

1 Bag of tostadas or make your own*
 4 cups Chicken Tinga
 2 cups Refried Beans
 2 cups Shredded iceberg lettuce
1 cup Crumbled queso fresco or fetta cheese
 1 cup Sour cream
 2 Sliced avocados
1 Jar of Mi Cocina Salsa Chipotle (medium or hot - your choice!)

Note:

  • You can buy the corn tortillas and deep fry them, make sure to hold them down, so they fry flat.
  • Don’t want to fry the tortillas, you can place them on a baking pan, lightly oil them, and bake at 400 F for 4 min per side, or until crunchy.
